Exquisite Vail Private Estate I Dos

“Thea and Jacob had their rehearsal dinner at Chasing Rabbits in Vail, Colorado. The venue consists of a restaurant, a library lounge, an arcade, and a speakeasy, making it a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience. The couple are on the founding team of the venue and cherished celebrating their wedding in such a unique space. The couple flipped the script and had guests wear all white to their sushi soirée at Matsuhisa for their welcome party. The bride and groom wore ‘something blue’. Thea’s Clio Peppiatt dress had motifs from her wedding venue including the bridge and stream. She also wore a dragonfly necklace and butterfly heels from Sophia Webster. Thea and Jacob got married in a four day celebration in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado on their nine year anniversary. The couple got married at Okanela Ranch Estate on a lunar pond, which belongs to the bride’s family, on a full moon. The Indigenous Ute people, the original residents who named this land ‘Okanela’, were drawn here due to the healing hot springs in the surrounding areas. They came every summer along the river, bringing their families and loved ones. Okanela means ‘rushing waters’ and is filled with streams and waterfalls. The Lunar Pond is a sacred site on the family’s property. It is an artistic expression of the marriage of the sun and the moon, which is also seen as the merging of the masculine and feminine energies. The environmental art throughout Okanela Ranch is designed to express several images of the sun and moon encompassing each other. The ceremony was focused on love and nature. The couple started the ceremony by acknowledging the land where the wedding was held, which originally belonged to the Utes. The venue is filled with sacred sites from labyrinths, to gardens built following the patterns of the sun, to stone towers representing the seven chakras. Thea and Jacob’s ceremony took place three days before the full moon, and they chose this date because it was the nine year anniversary of meeting each other.”
