As par for the course, Pantone’s 2016 Color of the Year reflects the personality and happenings in the world around us. For the first time, Pantone blended two colors to communicate the mood. Their take on the chosen two:
“Joined together, Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace.”
They add that gender equality is portrayed more then ever in fashion and societal movements. These colors reflect the world’s openness to using ANY color. Me? I like the soothing tone of both, but I am ALWAYS up for a pop of color. These colors are relaxing, but I could take a nap just writing this now. Rose Quartz and Serenity, as they pertain to wedding planning color palette’s, need a thick, rich tone as a primary or accent. They are widespread anywhere you look right now: tablescape florals and bridesmaids dresses in particular. These colors do pair well with pretty much anything! Surprises include olive, navy, terracotta or deep burgundy. Have fun with these gorgeous colors and happy planning!
