Kids just add so much depth and personality to a wedding. Take this absolutely spectacular affair featured in Town & Country at Locusts-on-Hudson in Staatsburg, New York. My good friend happens to be related to Lauren Koppel, Senior Director of Special Events at Barneys New York, and bride extraordinare. Lauren invited my friends girls to be the flowergirls on her wedding day (the wish of every little girl!). These girls are always perfectly angelic in the carpool each day on the way to school. But seriously, how gorgeous are they in these pictures? And with the help of these children, the day was both formal and lighthearted. The bride paired traditional elements like the grounds architecture and her dress with the airiness of wooden signs, lavender stalks and floral damask linens and pillows. These perfectly weaved décor notes allow for comfortable guests and inviting spaces. Check out the details in the tablescapes and tent, bringing the inspiration from the outdoors in. From the ivy laced chandeliers, art inspired shrubs to the Asian print band backdrop. All perfect. Ah, my East Coast roots just adore this wedding in every way. Thank you for sharing a part of your special day!
